Why another CMS was needed
A working site gradually turns into a construction kit of other people's parts: a dozen add-ons from different authors, each with its own lifespan and its own licence. One stops being updated — six months later that is a hole. Another gets updated — and breaks a third.
NEXUM-CORE is put together differently: what is usually bought piece by piece is here part of one system. They share a database, an editor, an access-rights model and one author who answers for them.
Who it suits
- Small businesses that need a site with a catalogue, enquiries and news — and do not need a dedicated person to run it.
- Organisations that care about self-sufficiency: the site makes no calls to outside servers, and a single switch forbids internet access entirely.
- Studios and developers — open Laravel code, a familiar structure, and custom modules written like ordinary packages.
Who it will not suit
An honest answer saves both sides time. NEXUM-CORE is not a landing-page builder: there is no dragging blocks around an empty canvas here. The look is set by the theme and the content by ready-made blocks in the editor. If you need a one-screen business card built in one evening, a website builder is simpler.
What the system can do
Our own visual editor, image and video uploads, drafts and publishing when ready. No markup to write.
Menus for the header, the footer and the side panel. Up to three levels of nesting, with items reordered by dragging.
Ready-made themes, your own colours, font, icon set, logo and background. Changes apply to the whole site at once.
Meta tags on every record, a sitemap, readable addresses and redirects when an address changes.
Both the site and the control panel adapt to the screen. You can publish from a tablet on the move.
Large type, a high-contrast theme and keyboard control — a built-in mode for those who find it easier that way.
A material's journey — four steps
- DraftSketch out the text and add pictures. Until it is published nobody sees it.
- ReviewLook at how the material appears on the site and fix the small things.
- PublishOne switch and the record shows up in the feed and in search.
- UpdateEdits are visible immediately: nothing has to be re-uploaded.
What is set up right after installation
- Menus in the header, the footer and the side panel
- Demo pages and materials for different templates
- A slider on the home page with auto-scrolling
- Payment and delivery methods that need no API keys
- A sitemap, robots.txt and meta tags on every record
- Eleven themes
All the demo content consists of ordinary records in the system. Edit them to suit yourself or delete them: none of it is hard-wired into the code.
What it runs on
- Laravel 13
- PostgreSQL 14+
- PHP 8.5
- Tailwind CSS
- Open source code
Nothing loads from outside servers: fonts, icons, styles and scripts all live on your site. That shows in the speed and in what you can say about personal data — a visitor is not logged by companies they were never told about.

This site runs on NEXUM-CORE: the showcase, the menus and the footer are all edited in the very panel we are talking about.
