Quick editing works across the storefront again: the “Edit” tags now live in a separate fixed layer and can no longer be covered by template layout.
Cause
The tag lived inside a template card. As soon as a template added its own rules — a full-size link, clipping, a layer over the card — the tag was visible but the click went to the card instead of the admin form. On the home page that broke news, games, magazine and FAQ; fragments and material pages kept working because they have no such wrappers.
Changed
- Tags now live in a separate .nx-tag-layer above the page (z-index 2147483000) and appear on hovering an area
- Position is computed from the edit area, so the tag always sits at its top-left corner
- Template CSS can no longer cover the tag or intercept the click
- The dashed area highlight is preserved
- Browser cache refreshes automatically: assets are loaded with a timestamp
Verified
- In edit mode on the home page the tag appears on a news card and the click opens the material form
- Fragments and material pages work as before
